| Speaking of, thought you would find this funny. Went to class last night and we had a guest instructor in one of Carlos Machado's Black Belts. He asked to roll with me, now at this point I feel honored as well as terrified. I have a great foundation in Tae Kwon Do but I am just starting my Jiu Jitsu journey. I felt like Rocky Balboa in the first Rocky movie when he is talking to Adrienne and telling her Apollo has knocked everyone out and he says "I just want to go the distance". I just wanted to go the distance with him and not get submitted in the first 10 seconds. We finally had to stop rolling because class ended, I did not get submitted, I am sure he was toying with me but I would like to fantasize that I held him to a draw. Cant wait til next class! |
