weapons in jujitsu?

Didnt think they trained with weapons but the local club to me ive come across use them. this normal for jujitsu?

From my experience it doesn't have weapons as part of the system. I've seen a lot of schools take weapons from another system and incorporate it into thier own training. As long as you know, everything is good. When you don't know that's the problem, because a weapon taken from another style MAY move completly different than the style it is being incorporated into. For an example a Kwan Do or Monk's Spade will not work properly with the movement style of TKD or Shotokan. That isn't a knock against those styles, its just how it is. Also not knowing can make you apear foolish. I'll never forget the Okinawan black belt that I met at a tournament claiming that his sword was an original part of his art.

No many of the traditional koryu (really old schools) have some weapons mixed in with their Jujutsu. Not too uncommon for Traditional Japanese Jujutsu...

we use weapons alot but more too defend against them we use a cosh for locks and restraints at higher levels, only at the dan grades do we actually train with them .

this is the traditional Jikishin Ju-Jitsu if that makes any difference looks good anyway
