Facing a judoka in one on one situation can be tricky i think. he can take u down, grapple u. if u are not trained to fight on the ground, that's the end of the fight. if you are thrown on the floor, (the concrete floor i mean, not the dojo floor) i hate to think what that will do to your spine.

Unbalancing an opponent will take away a person's size and strength advantage. Its really, really, difficult to fight and stop a fall and/or regain your balance all at the same time. Its also pretty easy to throw or strike a person who doesn't have thier balance as thier defense is gone.
