JOACHIM HANSEN CONFIRMS MARCH K-1 RETURN

After have a rollercoaster past couple of years that has seen him alternate wins and losses, the current MMAWeekly.com No. 10 ranked lightweight, Norwegian fighter Joachim Hansen is looking to 2008 to bring him the kind of continued success he achieved in years prior.

According to Hansen, he will be taking that first step soon, as he completes his current two-fight contract with K-1 at a Hero’s event. While unconfirmed by the promotion, Hansen believed the date of the event to be March 15.

Although he does not know whom he will be facing, Hansen believes he will be squaring off against a Japanese opponent for the second time in a row for the promotion.

Other rumored, but currently unconfirmed, participants in the event look to be Shinya Aoki, who appears to be slated to take on Gesias “JZ” Calvancante; Denis Kang; former Chute Boxe fighter Andre “Dida” Amade; and multi-time Abu Dhabi Champion Marcelo Garcia.
