Either way, I have to admit I do respect the man. I got the book pulling a Bruce Lee, went into a book store and say give everything you got on MA, it was one of the books I got. I also got a traslated Chinese Army Infantry & a NK Infantry manual from the same shop...

I do wado ryu karate too and yes we focuus more equally on kicking and punching but I think that we have the some types of kicks as in TKD but as we focus equally on punching and kicking we don't need to use them all, like kakato kick that isn't used but we train it.

karate tends to be more equal at punching and kicking... its an equal focus... the reason that in tkd u kick alot more is because the koreans used to think that punching some one in the face was uncouth and kicking was more acceptable
