If not then: Muay Thai low round house (Teh tud), Muay Thai straight knee (Kao tron), Silat low round house to the knee (Kejud dalam) or Silat low side kick (Kejud). I would also include standing sweeps but some wouldn't consider them to be actual kicks per se.
Oh hang on, this is the Karate forum. Well, hope you don't mind me putting up non-Karate kicks.

My favorite kick that I've learned in Karate is Yoko Sheeta Gheri. A good way to take out a knee.
It is a good kick, a little hard to take out the knee under many situations.
I have observed them fail in actual defense/bar/street situations. People move around upon fighting.
Though I have observed a woman perform it well on a guy trying to physcially "man handle"

I still have many of my notes from my long ago Korean instructor

I dont thing this thread is so much a issue of style.

Yeah, that's exactly why I like it, too. Especially in point sparring competition when I'm facing guys who like to stand on one leg and throw about ten round kicks in a row. It works really well at knocking down legs as well.

Some used to refer to it, inapproriately as a "inside cresent kick".
The "axe" was good in combination with a skipping straight punch..at least worked well for me in competition.
The cresent almost "behaved" the same way, but instantly mine would pass (which sometimes I missed on purpose to lure) I'll used the same leg and turn it into a side kick - without placing down the foot.
I like a kick to set something up. So I really like the inside Thai kick. Sets up perfectly for a cross or lead hook, I like combos more really then any one particular kick.
