That is great news, nom. Congrats to both of you. That was Do San, correct? Your daughter looks great! She looks very aggressive in the sparring as well, most of the younger kids are either too aggressive or way too shy and reserved in sparring - she did a really good job. Sounds like TKD is agreeing with you as well. This is really great news to hear. I am very happy for you both - keep up the good work!
I believe the advanced or senior green belt is the 5th belt, nom please correct me if I am wrong, out of 12 total.
I'll be going for black at my next testing, this gives me a bit of a nudge to "pick up" my training a bit. That kid is goood!

You are correct. Thanks for the compliments regarding my daughter. I am very proud of her! BUT ... since she has started Kindergarten every day she has said she doesn't want to go to TDK. She gets off the bus hot and sweaty and she doesn't want to get hot and sweaty again. Sigh ...
Well, she still goes as once she gets there she's just fine. I just hate it though, that she doesn't chomp at the bit to go anymore.
With that said, we just tested this last Saturday for our blue belts. Since we didn't have to show our form or sparring more than once I feel confident that we passed.
BLUE BELT BABY!!!!
Oh yeah, I have dropped another 5 pounds since this first post so I am now under 200 lbs
I will post video as soon as I can of my daughter doing her sparring. I was told ( and I watched the video ) that she chased em all around the mat again.
Here are how our belts run (testing every 2.5 months, app.)

Congratulations of Blue belt, both you and your daughter. Don't worry that she is less than excited. Like with most things kid's interests will come and go. Keep her going to the school so that when the interest comes back she doesn't have to spend any time playing catch up.
It is an amazing thing watching your child learning something, then performing it to the best of their ability. Yes, I am very proud of her.
There is an international tourney coming up in two weeks that will be held here in our city (Birmingham, Alabama). She and I will be competing. The training going on at our school is fierce, tons of sparring and conditioning floor exercises. It will be interesting to see how she does at her first tournamant. The good thing is that she will be with kids her own age. Right now, she is the 2nd smallest in our school and has to spar much larger kids. What is nice is that she points them anyways.
I will let ya'll know how she does, maybe get some more video up.

Silver medal for sparring ... ITA International Tourney.
When I get around to getting the video up you can see how they can hit her!!!
She took a nice kick right to the chin that snapped her head back. Worst hit on her that I have ever seen thus far. She looked at me, I looked at her. I thought the tears we're gonna start flowing. It was rather hard to watch. But ... she went back to the business of kickin butt!
