Is there any way you could do some research over there on my grandmaster? His name is Han, Man Hee and supposidely trained
with some of the founders of TaeKwondo.
He moved to the U.S. in 1976 and he is from Seoul, Korea - born in 1938.

From what you provided I believe my belt says Smothers Tae Kwon Do. Smothers is the last name of my instructor. This is probably because our base system is Oh Do Kwan TKD, but we are also tested on Kali he has added to the curriculum as well.

I've attached a jpg of my belt.
Thanks again.
Hi!
The Belt reads "SeuMuTiSeu TaeKwonDo" which would be "Smothers TaeKwonDo". How long have you been doing Ph Do Kwan TaeKwonDo for?

It will be 5 years in March. I studied under my instructors father when I was around 14 for about one year then it took about 17 years before I started again.
I was wondering - say for instance you have two/three korean "symbols" making up a word... Does the meaning change when the symbols are displayed vertically instead of next to each other? Or (as in English) you simply read top-down and meaning stays the same?
