My daughter and I tested the same day for the same belt as well on Saturday. We don't find out if we passed until later this week, but since there were no hiccups, I am going to assume that we both passed.
We early tested so I got the pleasure of sparring black belt instructors instead of other blue belts, that was fun. As a blue belt we are required to spar 2 rounds. Since the main instructor at my table was from my school, he thought it would be fun for me to spar 3 rounds instead of the required 2. Needless to say, at the end I was sucking wind! Sparring black belt instructors from other schools was very cool as well. They were amazing! The first one I couldnt even hit, he was a blocking MACHINE. It was like fighting Neo. The second one was a young girl and she came at me like we just ended a relationship. The third one was a mix, and he took it kinda easy on me because at that point I was fading fast.
But, got some good spins and jumps in, which was something I was concentrating on doing this time. Overall ... it was probably my best testing to date. My daughter, of course, did fine ... no big deal for her .. whatever. You want spin kicks .. ok. You want jumps .. alright. You want me to perform a 28 move form with no mistakes .. ok, what else? She amazes me sometimes!

I have a red belt test this weekend. I am concentrating on my forms, one steps and self defense. We have one person testing for black belt. This will probably be a longer test.
