mine is side kick too, which seems to be common, front kick is a close second. i find it is the perfect kick to do from the blocking stance when you already have your knee up.
i can't say i have a favorite kick, but the fastest, most efficient, simple kick to me is the front kick to the mid section. okay maybe not the most efficient, lol.

Reason: misspelling
i like my side kick and my front kick. But i can do the butterfly kick pretty good to but i think it still can be worked on!

I thought tornado kick is where you are executing the spining inside crescent kick but instead of taking two steps, you are landing on the leg that you just kicked with. It used to be my favorite because it looks cool, not because it's effective during sparring.
Complete: we have a picture section, it is possible to also get a video section? I know that it will really up the bandwidth, but maybe we can host the videos on a free ftp somewhere.

Left turning kick, think it is the most powerful kick I perform. Either to the mid section, or performed low. I also prefer the knee, and the front rising kick done with the shin to the groin, or a spinning back kick to the lower parts of the body. These are the kicks I feel I am able to do most effectively when it comes to full-contact sparring in a non-restrictive setting, if using a more traditional stand-up-based rule set, I also like the side-kick as a stopping kick for an opponent trying to close the distance.

i also like the spinning hook kick, round house kick w/o dropping the leg.
