If it had to be a basic kick, it would definitely be the Hook Kick for me.

Special Technique - 720 Hook Kick

Last edited by AndrewN; 01-12-2007 at 07:04 PM. Reason: changed 760 to 720.

Really, 720 spin kick? I've never tried that one myself but have seen it in a movie before.

That's impressive.

I apparently don't know Tae Kwon Do like I think I do. What is a 720 Hook kick?

A regular jump spin kick is 360 degrees. (The one from your video)

720 means, you jump, spin twice, then throwing the hook kick at the end.

It almost looks like the figure staking move.

Yup, that is correct.

Here's a short clip of what a 720 hook/spin kick looks like.

During Techniques, I like the "Heel Hook Kick", It's available quite often and an excellent way to finish someone on the way out!!

For Sparring, I like the "Lunge Side Kick", It doesn't telegraph like a shuffle or step up side kick but it still covers distance and moves much faster.

For Semi contact sparring the Lead leg side-kick to mid section is a great kick, its very fast has pletty of snap, crackle and pop.

For full contact sparring I prefer the front-kick or roundhouse kicks to the legs or mid-section. Side-kicks and spin-kicks can leave you open to takedowns.
