Simple as far as Tournaments are concerned the on i can land every time i throw it is what is call a stomp kick, though to understand why it is cause i'm squard off with my oponet sholders and hips are straight foward, Absolutly not telegraphing of any of my kicks what so ever i land about 95% of my attacks in tournament. i've been in 20 so far the lest i've ever come out with is 2nd
( i was disqualified from the last fight it was my first and i was using a facemask type of helmt and used and elbow to block a roundhouse to the head i blocked it at the mid thy begnners unluck LOL)
as far as combat is concerned i would half to say Fungerk wich is a wing chun/ JKD / Jun Fan/ type kick wich is directed to the inside or outside knee in a stomping motion Beautiful Attack/Def.

I don't need to Fight anyone just to prove that I am strong. I used my skill to protect the people I care for. I use my power for positive things, not to destroy.

I would have to say my favorite kick is an instep side-kick or cresent kick but a good front kick is so effective for stopping force.

I like using Low side kicks to the knee or shin, and parallel side kicks for the really good, powerful kick. I love doing high side kicks, but those aren't very effective, so I stick with the low and parallel.

My favorite is the crescent or spin-crescent kick. For close in fighting they are excellent weapons. The crescent kick can be used as a block that clears the road for the jab and hook punch combo. If your opponent does not take the kick seriously you can take that same crescent to the side of their head and take them down.
my other favorite kick is reverse outer crescent kick, even though with my bad balance it is kind of difficult to do, it's still a cool kick. i also like jump front kicks and flying side kicks. the jump front kick can be a pretty effective kick if used properly.
I like spinning heel kick although it is quite tricky to pull off and at times can be pretty slow and by that time your opponent would have already put you on the ground. So I try and stick safe and go with front-kick also known as front snap-kick.
Alas, I am not at the level to spar ... but it seems to me that a good front kick to the gut would have somebody gasping for air.

OUCH!!
The Front Kick (IMHO) isn't used too much in sparring because you have to
square your body up while kicking which leaves your full body width exposed.
Stay in your fighting stance and use a Wheel, Hook, or Side Kick .

I was told that I will be spending a fair amount of time in a back stance when sparring ... so learn to love it. Can't wait!
