Oh no, I totally agree. I would even go so far as to say the ring should be surrounded by a moat. A moat with sharks with lasers attached to their heads. I mean, who would want to get thrown into a moat filled with laser sharks? Not me dude.
I tried to get some sharks with lasers, but I was only able to get some mutated ill-tempered sea bass.

And back to your regularly scheduled topic. I think one of the advantages of reality is we don't need to choose between just the two. We have other options available each with its own similarities and differences to practical self-defense. As for entertainment (which is what these Pride, UFC, etc. events are), to each his own.

I tried to think of something that would make this new world changing sport even better, but I think the midgets in the moat have topped it. Next thing you know, we'll all be arguing whether this SuMMA is better than anything we've ever seen before!
I'm sure they do. I bet it needs to be weighted though because I think midgets float.
If this is true our Navy should be nothing but midgets and dwarves. I mean, think about it....not only would drowning be right our, it would cost a lot less to build the ships! An aircraft carrier could be the size of a canoe!!!
