I think he has been in a few movies before ong bak, he was also the stunt double for Robin Shu as Lu Kang in Mortal Kombat. I found a site before that listed the movies, I'll try to find it again later and post it.
Just decided to put this here because, Tony jaa is one of my favourite martial artists, and i think a lot of his stunts are some of the best around. personally i think he's better than some others like jackie chan any one else agree? or disagree any way here are some links to some demonstrations he's done. http://video.google.co.uk/videoplay?...075&q=tony+jaa
By the way just out of interest what does everyone prefer subtitled or dubbed films
I saw Ong Bak on DVD and on special feature session, they showed Tony Jaa doing stunts in front of packed house and he really was doing all that stuff he was doing in the movie, so you know it wasn't a computer graphics or wire works.
On the other hand, Jackie at almost 50 (if not already) is obviously past his prime. The outtakes from his movies all show him using the wires. No disrespect to Jackie, as he was the pioneer but we all get old.....
They should open in the US first, instead of opening somewhere else and then bringing into US like few months later.

i know that jackie chan once complained that they are too safty conscious shooting in the west, so that might explain the increase in wires and stuff too.
