I know Pat Morita isn't a martial arts action star but he at least deserves a mention. His portrail of Mr. Miyagi on Karate Kid went a long way towards establishing martial arts in films.

Yeah, I wouldn't consider him a martial artist but he certain became a cult figure as Mr. Miyagi and his infinite wisdom. Wax on, Wax Off.

Sorry to hear about his passing.

...I didn't know he died. He died of natural cause, right? (Well, you never know. >_>)

He was 73. It must have been some kind of illness that comes with old age. I think they ruled it as natural causes, if there are no accidents or foul plays.

Too bad, although he's not a real martial artist, he sure did convince alot of people that he really knew what he was talking about. Also i think he was what most people think of when they thought of a martial arts sensei.

I guess you are right. Mr. Miyagi is in most people's mind as the Karate sensei.

It's been more than 20 years since Karate Kid came out.

People still remember wax on, wax off.

That's attribute to Pat for his portrayl of Mr. Miyagi.
