Plus he is a real martial artist and yes he does think his style is best because thats what he practices and maybe the style is the best for him.

I mean, you can bust on the guy all you want to, but if you had even a shot at having a small role in one of his DVD or made for tv movies I bet you would be ecstatic and think you were on your way to hollywood.
He treats people with little repsect so he gets little respect. Ask Gene Labell how good Steven Seagal is

Precisely.

I met Chuck Norris, Bill Wallace, Benny Urquidez, Ernie Reyes Sr/JR, all on several occasions, and they dont have the ego like Segal....

I'm not knocking his skills, just his mentality. But heck, people have done this to me also....

Supposedly, that is correct. To be truly effective they need to address the hole that they make when using large circular defenses. Leaves many gates unprotected and places the arms in a position where they cannot be used to deflect power on thier centerline. I'm sure there is an effective small circle Aikido, I just haven't seen it yet.

On a few occasions, I've seen a few Aikido MAst in self defense situations.

Most of these they faired well, scant few, they were surmountable.

Wow this is opening my eyes to Steven Seagal as I never knew he had a ego problem. I've seen a few of his movies and they are ok. Fire Down Below was good and Under Siege was good too except the second Under Siege. He made one movie that is about a character going to Thailand which I like as I have family there so it let me see a tiny bit of my family's country.
