His debut movie "Above the Law" was one of my favorite. He made some so so movies such as "Hard to Kill", "Marked for Death", "Out for Justice", which were somewhat entertaining. Then, many of his other movies went straight to DVD - movies I've never even heard of such as "The Foreigner", "Belly of the Beast", etc.

The strangest thing is, he's still making movies, at least 4 of them in 2005.

Is anybody watching them? Are they making money?

Never been much of a fan of Steven Seagal.....

I admit 'Above the Law' was decent. It was all downhill from there.

He really brought Aikido into a spotlight with his movies. Unfortunately, his time has passed.

He's still making movies that goes straight to video, or I should say DVD.

Whenever I'm at the blockbuster, I still see his movies on the shelves and I've never seen any commercial when it opened.

I'm sure he's still got a big fan base so he keeps making movies.

I ran into an official Steven Seagal fansite and there are ton of active members.

More power to him.

I wish he hadn't declined as much as he did. Nowadays the only way I can catch him on TV is in a MAD TV skit

I guess he's gotta make a living, too, right? Not sure how his music career is going but he's still more known for his acting than his singing.

Nice video; aside from the movie shot, was the black and white fight only some exercices or "fights", it seems that his opponent was just walking into it.

That's just how Aikido is demonstrated.

The whole philosophy behind it is that you are utilizing the opponents energy and just redirecting it, rather than force your own energy to counter it.

I haven't seen any of his movies for a while and there are like 10 "new" movies since. I might just start back up again.
