well it was my second getting an injury in my shin from a three section staff, the first time was a couple of years ago, and the time that a piece broke was about 4 months ago.

never had no real bad injuries.
worst thing to happen was when i was 14 an a green belt, my tkd instructor put me to spar against a female 2nd degree black belt she was about 17-18
since i was one of the "star" pupils he always made me fight the higher ranking belts.
she put a beating on me so bad i limped home that day. an my arm was sprained for a weak. she kicks so hard that there was only so much blocking my arm could take.
....but at least i got her phone number an a date

1.) Been there, done that, lost count how many times
2.) As per #1, however, higher rank doesnt apply to higher sparring skill.
3.) Perhaps the beating started off with improper mentality.
4.) It is not wise do to so. Many instructors somewhat frown upon people becoming "involved" from martial art gathering/practices.

Why is that? Im guessing because if the relationship doesnt work out then they have to see each other when they train? If that is not the reason then do those same instructors frown upon husband/wife training together?
# #4 hmmm i never seen that before. most schools ive trained at, couples, spouses train together an theres no issues. but i have heard an read about it.
I am not talking about couples per the long-term such as marital couples.
I am talking about people who become couples upon meeting in a martial art school
