I think you should ger it checked out, even if it is not that bad. I remember when I was playing with some friends, and I launched a side kick at one of them, but my distance was way off, so I ended up popping my own hip ouot of its socket!!!!!!!!
healded in about a week, but still hurt even 1 month after that because I still fought on it!!!
stupid you..... I say stupid me!!!!

and sadly our free heath care isn't even free in AB ($40 a month unless you are low income).....
$40 a month might as well be free, especially with your Monopoly money. Wife and I are paying $228 a month between the two of us for health insurance, and it isn't the greatest, either.
Personally, I wouldn't bike. The last time I had a foot injury, the exercise bike made it a million times worse. If you've got to exercise, do some upper body stuff. Maybe crunches, dumbells, etc...
so here is the update.... i am still suffering from withdrawl... but the pain is really decreases, but i am still limping.
the only thing that troubles me is that my foot still looks swollen. i have to go to the doctors on Tue to go over blood test results, so i will get it looked at then. monday i will probably go to MT but not class, just use the gym. i am getting the feeling i am going to be out for at least another week (if i am smart about it) thus i better do something to stop the withdrawl so i don't convince myself that i am good enough to go to class again
i have hurt different bodyparts in the past and i must have some sort of neoprene bandage for most of my arms and legs.i wonder what i'd look like if i hurt everything all at once and had to wear all those bandages at once-probably look like some sort of spandex power ranger ha ha.
k, i did get an X-ray, i don't know about other places, but since we don't pay for our x-rays they hand them out like candy (i lucked out the wait was not even bad) the bone is not broken, just bruised. but the cool thing, which totally made it worth it is that i got to keep the x-ray which is super cool. as soon as last winter (hurt my ribs so they took x-rays) the x-ray i got was the classic kind that you hold up in front of a light. now they are on CD. cool! my doc after was like, "want this, it is kinda neat you can show people your foot". i wanted to post a pic of it but i don't think you can because the x-ray is embedded in a programme so i can save just the pic. but the programme is really cool, you can change the lighting, zoom in and out and other stuff i don't understand.
anyway i should be back in class next week!!!! i will take it easy at first. i can't wait!!! i miss it so much. i have been using the gym to work out, but that is so boring!!!!!!! yay can go to MA soon!!!!

Cool. Glad it wasn't anything serious. Can't you take a "screen shot" of your computer. Most computers have the ability to capture what's on the screen and save it in the clipboard, which would allow you to transfer it into its own document.

once I got really hurt by kicking an elbow, the connective tissue of my toes was bruised, it took about a month to heal, and lots of ibuprofen cream.
wellcome back to MA practice!
Time is the greatest of healers, rest, and you shall be fine.
Meanwhile, if you feel a void needs filling in your mind, research the mental side of your martial arts, physics of striking, stance applications, instead of physical training. If that's not your cup of tea you could go into the philosophical side.
I'm no expert, but getting into more exercise seems risky.
yeah that worked i attached my foot. it is not as good of quality because i had to change it to a gif. the big toe looks a little creepy i thought it would go straight out.... i guess it makes sense though because it use to be like a thumb.... i mean evolutionarily, not my toe, that would be really creepy!

so my foot is still no better (2 week mark)... can't walk and am limping around..... went back to the doc's, he said that it might be a stress fracture so now i have to go in for a bone scan. if it is a stress fracture i am out of muay thai for 6 WEEKS!!!!!! if not he thinks anouther 2 weeks. at this point i am thinking/hoping that the whole thing is also psychosomatic. i know i originally hurt my foot, but maybe all the stress i am under at work is causing it to heal slower and feel worse. i have a history of turning mental pain into a physical form. and if that is the case it should get better within the week because everything will be settled at work.... i am either switching jobs (quiting) or getting a promotion.... i was hired for an imposible job, so i am either going to get promoted into a possition where i have the power to fix the situation or i am quiting because there is no way i am staying in my current position. (sorry about the work rant, but if the foot thing is psychosomatic i figured b****ing about it would help)..... normally when i am this stressed out i do MA, i guess i will have to find a different release for now.......
Out of curiosity, did the doctor talk about the possibility of soft tissue damage or inflammation?
