Martial Arts InjuriesDiscuss how to deal with martial arts injuries and illnesses here
there's nothing to my knowledge i know, at school when we used to play "dead" and "the penny game" i'd come out with loads of bruises. Now i'm sort of used to them so see it has conditioning
Arnica, which can be found in many chemists and health shops, is an excellent way to both reduce the amount of bruising and the recovery time. As far as I'm aware, you can take small doses continuously with no side effects. As far as I'm aware
As far as I can tell, there's not much you can do. Small areas of your body can be made to bruise less easily by continually bruising them. As I've mentioned elsewhere, bo training in Matayoshi Kobudo leaves nasty bruises on the upper arms. The bruises on my arms are now really small. Sensei doesn't have bruises, and he puts way more power into his strikes than I do.
Just to be clear, you've always bruised easily? This isn't something you've just started noticing recently?

Got some of that at lunch time after advice from the chemist, will give that a shot.
Yeah i've always bruised easily, they dont hurt a great deal, but they are pretty big. I dont mind so much as i gave as good as i got
I'm pretty freaky like that, I bleed like a stuck pig too, but i heal stupidly fast.
sounds like you have a capillary problem, look for medical help, other than that, time and a hard training with lots of sparrings makes you bruise less, but the easy bleeding and bruising could be a health problem.
Have to say also that I went through a period of bruising really easily and if cut would bleed a lot. Turned out my thyroid had kicked into over-drive! Lost 2 1/2 stone in 5 weeks!!
