BAD Back injury

ok here is the story.
my friends and i went to a party at our school, and right when we got in there there was this big inflated boxing ring and gloves.
So one of my friends and i went in and had at it. Those gloves covered our whole arms so we got tired really easily, but he fell off balance, and i knocked him out with 6 seconds left.
Now here is the part where i get all MVP of "Scarred"
I threw the gloves off and jumped up and did a backflip, but i did it so perfectecly and fast that i unfolded in the air, BUT my momentum was still going backwards, so i ended up landing on my knees and my whole upper body bent backwards towards my knees!!!!
I let out a little yell but nothing noticable, and i heard numerous little popping noises like when you pop your knuckles. I slipped out of the ring like nothing had happened and sat there in the most pain i ever felt holding back the fact i was hurt, and a little bit of my tears. I got up and then that is when i almost but not really shed a tear.
The party was 12 hours long, going from dancing, to a theater, to amazing jakes (kind of like boondocks)
the whole time I did everything, but was in little pain, and stretching the whole time.
now i am awake, and i can barely stand up (in the squat position) but I can walk, and everything is ok besides the pain. I am thankful to god that i didn't break anything or hit a nerve, but I am guessing it just has to heal.BTW the pain is in my lower back

Hey look at it like this, Bruce and I have the back injuries in common

I must ask, is your post rhetorical?

Where you asking something or initiating conversation? Or were you just blogging, so to speak.

Alrighty then, I didn't want to give advice where advice wasn't needed. I would say get an x ray. By the sounds of it you may have done some damage and that is one area you don't want a long term injury. I would recommend seeing either your gp or perhaps a chiro or osteopath.

Keep us notified of your progress. I for one am keen to hear that this is nothing serious.

ah, the good old school partys. Dont worry man, your not the only one to try and show off and it back fire. About ten years ago when i got serious about training, i asked my mate to hold up a ashtray and i was going to break it with one punch. I ended up nearly breaking my hand while the ashtray was completly in tact! LOL

Does sound like you should get it checked out though. I got mine checked. All my fist needed was rest. You most likely need the same.

yeah, i got a few months rest since it happened months ago, and i am perfectly fine.
no popping in my back or anything like that.

actually now my back is getting stronger because i am doing more ab workouts so the only thing i wont do anymore are backflips.
