foot pain

About a week ago, i was watching my cousin train some people. So i decided to give one of his students a little spar. I was going really easy, and a little bit into i attempted to kick him relitivly hard in the side of his thigh, he stepped back and turn alittle while it was happening which resulted in the top of the side of my foot striking his knee very hard. While he fell and i hit him in the side of the head while he was fallling, after words my foot felt odd so i just sat down and watched the rest of the training. Later when i got up my foot was in alot of pain when i could barely walk with every step it was like a knife was going into the side of my foot, so i took one of my hand wraps and wrapped it around my foot and ankle and struggled a painful walk for about to blocks to a friends house where i stayed the night at. The pain wasnt as bad the next morning but it still hurt sometimes when pressure was put on it, it still hurts some today but not that much.

I havent seen a docter about it yet, and was wondering if i should or just wait awhile longer to see if it heals by it self.

If I'm understanding right, it sounds like you made odd contact with his knee with the arch of your foot. If that's the case, it's possible you broke the arch. It's a very strong structure when dealing with pressure from below, fairly strong with pressure from above, but not strong at all when hit at an angle.
Try pressing on the arch of your foot. If that significantly increases the knife-like pain, you may have broken it. Also, compare foot size, or ask someone else to if you're bad at such comparisons (like myself) If your injured foot is swollen, that's another possibility of a break.
Or, you may have damaged a tendon. This may be as minor as some inflammation, or as bad as a partial tear.
Honestly, with the pain you described, I'd be heading to a doctor sooner rather than later. The foot is such a fragile thing that an injury left alone too long could cause serious long term damage.
