Bay area training meetup

Hello to all those in the Bay Area. I'm looking to meet up with other martial artist to get some more training in beyond what I get in class.

As for myself, I've got 8 years experience. A background in Northern and Southern Shaolin. Had a major injury 4 years in and had to take a year off. Got back into studying, but do to college, it was pretty hit and miss for the last 3 and a half years. Now I'm out of school and have been able to spend a lot more time training. I have settled on the style of Pentjack Silat Serak, or simply Serak.

If you're not familiar with the style, it's a highly efficient and effective internal martial art. Think Ba Gua meets Gracie Jiu Jitsu. About as far away from sport as it gets. Lots of take downs, submission holds, knife and weapons work. It has a complete ground and stand up curriculum. A very tactically effective style.

The style is excellent, but the downside is that it's a small class and there isn't a lot of opportunity for hand to hand training. So, I'm looking to supplement the techniques I learn in class by training with as wide a variety of martial artists as possible.
I would describe myself as an intermediate level martial artist with a high level of body awareness, balance and a very quick learner. Ideally I'm looking for intermidiate to advanced people to train with.
Aint no substitute for good ol' hand to hand training.
(Just an FYI, I'm working out a shoulder and ankle injury for the next few weeks. This means I'm sticking to the slower, technique and form focused kinds of training for a while. Taking a rest from sparring until everything heals up. )

As usual, good training etiquette is a must. Not interested in egos, and folks trying to "Win" while doing technique drills. Just good, honest testing and advancement of eachothers skills.
I will probably be getting some mats in the near future (as soon as I find out where to store them) for ground work and take down drills.

Schedule wise, I work as a freelancer and have an open schedule. I'm open to a get together a group, or just meeting up to train with various people throughout the week. Week days are often fine for my schedule. Mon-Wed eveings are out as I've got Serak and meditation class on those weekends. (Very active, practicing Mahayana Buddhist as well)

Looking forward to hearing from everyone, and training in the near future.

Cheers,

Jeff

P.S. Anyone going to the Ring of Fire next weekend? http://www.serak.com/adobefile/FlyerROF2007.pdf
