Bone Aches,speed,and strength.
I use to be able to lift 65 pounds in 35 reps in my shoulders, but after a few years my strength in that area
sort of went low.DO you have any tips on building up my shoulder strength, without over powering my limberness and speed?
also, does anyone know how to minimize bone aches, alot of times especially after my workout,my torso and back sort of have a stabbing pain,as if i'm being attacked by the poeple who killed Ceasar.

Not sure about the first, I'm not much of a weight lifter.
As for the second, upper, middle, or lower back?

Probably overdoing it then. Work more on the core muscles, particularly the abs, and take it a bit easier on the other weights. Stabbing pain is not a good thing. It can potentially be a very bad thing.

I haven't heard of that kata. Is it a lot of really rapid upper body movements? That might explain it. I've had shoulder pain from pinan nidan, which is a lot of forceful punches and strikes.

In fact,in my kata I created for my art,it imfisizes mimimal arm movement, and lots of leg movement.I have to keep the back straight at all times.

Somtimes restricting movement cause stress on the elasticity of the muscles. In other words, it doest allow them to stretch pass the way they had or were accustomed to.

In one of my threads-Instructor Fitness, I bring up the subject per so. However, based upon Tai Ji, many elderly people practice it. (Especially in the East) It is a beneficial art for those who cannot move or exercise in coarse fashion. The seeming slow, rhythmic motions, are not strenous, allows blood circulation, aids breathing, and exercise the muscles, perfect for elderly, but also great for anyone no matter shape, size, limitation.
So, it would seem that Tai Ji, or other simular, could be useful for your application

Also, you may want to work on more circular motions, even if they are power moves. Straight, linear attacks and defenses tend to be harsh on the body. It's no secret that karatekas and TKD artists tend to develop a host of issues like lack of flexibility and arthritis problems far faster than, say, an Aikidoka. The arts can be modified, working with smoother motions and trying to flow between moves, rather than throwing one punch and then a kick. Keep the purely linear attacks as quick but light strikes for testing/stunning an opponent.

Thats why I'm trying to find a traditional Japanese,Korean, and Chineese sword fighting styles.
Well my footwork is not either Linear or Circular, but zig zaggy. And the blade work is circular.I'm trying to find a style that is both zig zagular, and circular. I'll keep in mind the stunning thing, because my artform is about stealthly snunning
an opponent.Lately, what I've been trying is to perform each move in succession to another,so as to form even flowing moves. For example,I've been attepting a circular zig zag attack that attacks and blocks in a single motion.
When you say circular, you don't meen twirling do you? Cause in a battle if your back is exposed, then you could be stabbed.

How well are you stretching before and after your workout?
Although I completely agree with sirdarksol, in that you should work your core muscles more, the pain could also be partly caused by lack of good stretching in your midsection before and after your workout. Just a thought!
