Martial Arts Training & ExercisesDiscuss martial arts training and exercises here
Since this topic has been a major offshoot of another thread, I figured we might as well let those of us who are open about our training have a thread where we can post it.
So, if you are inclined, what is your martial arts training experience? What styles? How many years in each style? Ranks achieved? If you wish, you may also list instructors that have influenced you. I'll start.

Not so much. New England isn't exactly Iowa when it comes to wrestling, but ya do what ya can.
Carl Adams, still the head coach over at BU - not THAT man is a wrestling god! and a really good guy as well. When he was in college he was a teammate of Gable. Heck of a sharp businessman on top of it all.

Oh, I thought you were saying you were the 1991 Div 1 champion, not your coach!

Yes, I was. For the New England region, not the whole country!
I think the next season I was ranked 13th or something nationally, but crapped out with injury that year.
I guess my little list wasn't very clear.
Dude, that's very impressive...give yourself more credit! I would pay you to come be my wrestling coach for my school with those credentials!

Judo - 4-5 months (i didnt enjoy the throwing but sometimes feel like i didnt give it a chance)
Hapkido - 2 months (currently in it)
BJJ - about 2 months (currently in it and am having a blast)
A bit of wrestling and boxing when I was a kid. Plus being a guy, I think my friends and I fought each other for fun almost everyday until 6th or 7th grade.
Plus maybe 6 or 7 actual 'street' fights in high school and college.
