in fairness that could have been said for a couple of them... they were all good, don't get me wrong, but i would have prefered masters getting tested to represent their art not some younger person that was probably chosen because they are not bad on the eyes.

Even though it's called "Science", it wasn't exact science.
It's true that those who represented made more difference in those scientific numbers than the actual techniques themselves.

The show itself was interesting though. They tried to put actual number to the techniques.

I bet if they repeated the exact same test with different people, they would get quite a different results.

I guess it just goes to show that you can't get a good grasp of real science in a two hour made for TV special. Who would have guessed?

They're always like, "I've never seen anything like it!" that's silly overhyped drama.

As for the original, no matter how flashy, the tests were laughable, especially the punching test. A heavily built boxer who's been punching his entire life vs a wushu guy half his weight with crappy technique, come on. The MMA one was decent, I loved Bas' jokes

Well, the punching his entire life is kind of the point, but my original complaint about fight science was the fact that they didn't have a control in the experiment and failed to account for variables like weight of the person.

Either way, it was still an impressive amount of power generated from a punch.

Eh, they made his balance look supreme. We have no idea whether or not any of his techniques were decent though.

the fight show was great. i dvr it and haven't deleted yet. its amazing that the mixed martial artist is that well rounded to have almost the same amount of punching force as a heavyweight boxer and more kicking power then a champion kickboxer. it was just amazing. and the body conditioning is also amazing.

If you mean Bas Rutten, he did kyokushin karate and thai boxing, so his striking power is no surprise
