Defending yourself, your beliefs, or your individuality is never easy as it only brings conflict....just look at the news, your school, or a Martial arts forum.....
Im sure there are plenty of occasions where tradition MA has defeated MMA but MMA due to its nature tends to get more advertisment. along with BJJ its the latest craze.
But the TKD guy clearly didnt have much ground work experience, he got full mounted straight away, then side mounted, and instead of getting himself free he simply went for the headlock, which at that agle doesnt really do much unless you hanging on for about 15 mins.
He would have been better of countering the full mount at the beginning in my opinion, once the MMA guy is on top of you your fighting an uphill battle.
But thats just what I would have done/tried to do.

If you find one, please let us know since I've never found any.

I think it's more then just the story of one person. I think it's the mindset of a lot of people. This guy obviously thought that his skills were enough to fight an MMA fight he thought he was going to land that one big kick and knock someone out. Because of this he neglected any ground training and got beat like a school girl.
Not one aspect of MMA is more important then the other but, this shows that you need to be a well rounded fighter not just one dimensional.

this is why I think that practicing one limited martial art is abad thing because it limits what you can do.
that particualr TKD guy clearly favoured kicks, and clearly didnt practise ground work, in contrast the MMA guy held the kicks off and fought on his terms.
on a simplr level if you get a boxer to fight a kickboxer, who do you think will win? Id favour the kickboxer because he has a wider fighting range.

Not really, just because you have more of something doesn't imply that it's better. A boxer has better hands then a kick boxer, in theory, seeks out superior angles and combos better. The better smarter fighter will win in this situation not any particular art.
