Hand wraps

hi, does anyone know any techniques to wraping your hands that also wrap your mid-finger joints? i have osteoarthritis (yes, at 24) and i find that in when it is cold my hands are really sensitive and inflamed. when i am punching they start to get really sore... i know this is also and probably mostly caused by not punching with my knuckles proper, but even when i hit proper the glove still displaces some of the energy to my mid-joints. that and it is hard to keep a proper fist when you are in great pain so then my punches get too lose adding to the problem and pain. i thought if i wraped my fingers i could give them added support. anyone face this problem before?

I've only used the wraps to protect my wrists so I never wrapped around the fingers.....

Go to a boxing gym and ask a coach if they will show another way to wrap your hands.

Use a wave bag because it's softer than a normal heavy bag.

Shadow boxing with a speed bag.

hand wraps

hi disgruntled. i wear hand wraps but not because of the problems you have, i have sustained an injury after my last fight and my left wrist needs constant support so i always wear hand wraps now.i would advise not to hit the bag or pads too hard with your condition-save that for the competitions.you dont have to hit the bags too hard, work on your speed-i am sure you know how hard you can hit, and remember shin kicks do more damage than just punches, so dont be shy with the use of your legs-cheers-jimbo!
