I have to agree. Expressively- that taking such force is a sign of not having a good blocking method or method of parrying/redirection. Such skills of equal importance than just striking (in striking combatives)

well simply speaking,TKD sparring in conservative with protective gear,limitise explosive power and strikes where in MT sparring,everything is raw power,speed n combination strikes which allow u to feel wht is REAL POWER whn u tk it seriously,fyi,if u nd some inspiration on MT sparring,look up at Ramon Dekkers Training n Fight Clips.Ciao n good luck!
