So can anyone give more information about Muay Boran? I've wikipedia-ed it and it's not alot to go by
Also wondering about my "styles" list, when is it ok for me to say I am practicing Muay Thai, Kali, JKD, and BJJ?!?!
Well... Now? You are practicing them. But to say you are a Muay Thai fighter or BJJ homo (Joemo ) I guess it's when you're confident enough to use them.

Muay Boran is the predeccessor (forgive my spelling if it's wrong) of Muay Thai. Muay Boran is called ancient boxing and is different from modern Muay Thai, as an example Muay boran practicioners use hemp to wrap their hands and part of their forearms. This hemp is called Muay Kaad Cheuk, and it can cause rope burn deep enough to gash the skin, but anyway Muay boran was used in ancient times in Thailand to fight with their hands if they were to fall off the elephants and lose their weapons (krabi Krabong). I'm not sure, but I think Muay boran is either forbidden or they can't use Muay kaad Chuek. Most Muay thai techniques used today derive from Muay boran. That's all I know.
