what about hight can a thai kicker kick a high as a TKD kicker of the same skill,and whitch way of kicking is better for street confrontations

this would depend more on the individual than the art as both arts have a roundhouse kick.

Depends on what you want to do. Thai round kick is better for kicks to the thigh and for closing distance. TKD's is better for kicks to the head and creating distance.

On the plus side, if you can do one really well, odds are you will be able to pick up the other no problem.

When I kick especially lower hits, my leg is slightly bent. It goes for higher kicks, also but not as much. Bent leg gives a person some balance. I can't imagine fighting differently.
Besides I've locked my leg once by accident. My opponent was completely able to brake it if she wanted to. I feel like it leaves me exposed to a new and simple attack. If someone knows how this works as a
defense/offense attack. Try to describe. I'd like to know. =)
