Does Ninjitsu have one? | Absolutely, but they are different from organization to organization. The 3 i know a little of are the X-kan's, Kawachi Yon Tengu Ryu and Ryoku Ryu (my own).
The X-kan's go with : 10'th Kyu = White.
9'th Kyu -> 1'st Kyu = Green (with some kind of Kyu-marking, stars i think).
1'st Dan -> 15'th Dan = Black (With the same kind of marking to show the
Dan-Grade).
The Kawachi Yon Tengu Ryu goes like:
8'th Kyu = white.
7'th Kyu = Yellow.
6'th Kyu = Orange.
5'th Kyu = Green.
4'th Kyu = Blue.
3'rd Kyu = Brown.
2'nd Kyu = Red.
1'st Kyu = Purple.
1'st Dan -> 10'th Dan = Black (with Dan-stripes).
Ryoku Ryu Ninpo Bugei; well its hard to explain, since the beltsystem is comprised of 2 systems. I guess i'll just post it, and then you can ask if you don't understand it.
P.S. I'm not 100% on the X-kan beltsystems, if i'm wrong please correct me.

Home Country: | Thanks Berador for the great information.
That's a lot of belts......
I always thought Ninjitsu was the art of assasin. When would you wear these bright colored belts when you are trying to be stealth? |

When would you wear these bright colored belts when you are trying to be stealth? | Originally they only used the green (for Kyu-grades) and black (for the Dan-grades (asfar as my research has shown)), the initiation of the multi-colour belt-systems was made because of the western mindset . The 'new' belt-systems made it easier to track progress in the training, and so made it more 'attractive' to the average westerner to start in the MA <_< .
So as an answer to your question; they didn't! It's all just a 'western' approach on the MA that brought'em in (for instance, i usually begin their 'stealth-training' around 4'th Kyu, due to practicality(the green belt is easier to hide with, in nature). Others have (for some strange reason) dropped that part of the training, alltogether).

| As Berador stated, there is a similar number ranking as opposed to the visually appealing belt colours, but as a member of Sasori Ryu Ninjitsu, our ranks are slightly different from what he stated.
9'th Kyu = White
8'th Kyu = Yellow
7'th Kyu = Orange
6'th Kyu = Green
5'th Kyu = Blue
4'th Kyu = Purple
3'rd Kyu = Red
2'nd Kyu = Brown
1'st Kyu = Black-stripe
1'st Dan -> 10'th Dan = Black (Ranks 1-10)
To repeat Berador again, the colours were not originally used, just for easy indentification I guess.
Stealth training (shinobi aruki - probably didn't spell it right), starts at 4th Kyu. |

Complete, you seem like a descent person and this seems like a decent forum. In any case, people like Leo would berth into a site such as yours and starts giving wrong informations. The art of Ninpo seems to hold the publics awe. All you have to do is read this whereas this self proclamied master lied in a public forum about his NHB prowess. http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28990
Do you want a luaghing stock of the MA community to be associated with you ? Of course not.
How low can this go: Well, he went under the guise using his inncocent wife to tell the forum that he "Died" http://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=29114
These are but few examples of Leo's integrity on the public forum. Complete, if you truly value the essense of martial arts, then I don't need to preach to you what to do. Look into the virtue of Honor and honesty. You will know where you stand !

| | | Ricky,,, you just might want to get your story straight. If you're about to put up more slander, i just might ask Comlpete for your IP-adress, so that i could press charges for these lies. I'm fed up with these lies being spred about me by you and the other f***heads at the bullshido, and will reconsider my previous choice of not pressing charges seriously.
You claim to know so much about what i am, and am not!?! Then enlighten me on the core-principles of the style i practice,,,,,Tell me the name of my wife,,,,,,You can't, can you!?!If you had checked the facts, before posting lies, you might ATLEAST have gotten that my wifes name ain't "Patty" (that's an anglo-american name, NOT Danish)!!!! If you had even bothered to look at my personal site, you whould have known that, but it's easier to spread lies,,,ain't it!!!

| | | Go ahead and sue me ! As far as I am cocern I do have the resources to defend a lawsuit against you. Just make sure that you have enough to cover for a counter suit to be made against you. Filing a lawsuit which are baseless is called "frivolous" This is enough ground for me to file a counter claim.
I strongly advised you to seek counsel in your area and discussed with him the grounds in which you can file a lawsuit for defamation, Libel and Slander.
If all these lies aren't true, then justify it, present your evidence at hand and the flame will snuffed out. I will apoligized first hand if any of the BS you have been spreading are indeed true.
You are right, I do not know much about you. But what I have read about you is a crying shame to those of us that have trained hard in Ninpo and the Martial arts in general.
Your other choices at this time is simply to get the story straight. Stop the lies and deception. For once Leo follow the virtue of honesty and Honor. For a 15th Dan Master and inheritor of a Japanese Bugei, you should know this already. However, knowing is a different animal from doing. | | | It's not as though any of the bullshido crew is really that hard to find.
They have get togethers all over the country where they actually spar each other and many of them attend tournaments and take fights all over the country.
It's not hard to prove yourself to bullshido if you are legit - look at the posters "JFS USA" and "Clyde" who both did arts not popular with bullshido and showed up on the website making claims - bullshido challenged them the way they have berador, and clyde and JFS showed up and are now respected forum members.
