Asking questions is how you learn.

As far as calling you inexperienced...no, not this time. Delusional maybe...no idea what martial arts really are, definitely. You really, really, REALLY, should go train under a qualified instructor. I believe it would open your eyes to a lot.

where do you live? 5 hours sucks but u never know. there could be someone closer to you. its happened in the past before.

since summertime coming up, u may have a better chance at a road trip to check out the far away school. learning on you own may aid in familiarizing yourself more with the art but its best to have formal instruction to understand and apply it better

cause theres alot of details that go on which would better be recieved under instruction from a teacher. \ for your outfit inquiries:

OpenDNS is one of the best stores for the shoes an boots.

ill be back later with the outfit links

Well no actually, nor would they run around in tuxedos and sunglasses.
An outfit like that would stick out like a sore thumb over here in Israel.

You do know I was joking right?

I actually know a few fbi agents and they wear street clothes, such as gym attire, going out clothes, business clothes etc depending on their case. Their job is to follow/spy. Regular office agents wear business casual.

Sarcasm is simply marvelous... hmm, here's an interesting question. Would you consider FBI/CIA modern Ninjas?

CIA yes, Special Forces sure and in general context you could say the US soldier on average; since the basic US format is small teams warfare and stealth. The whole purpose of NVGs is that we see you and you don't see us.

In a modern context (and even a historic one) the same ninja skills of guerrilla warfare and commando training; assasination, sabotage, espionage and survival skills is not limited to only ninjitsu/ninja. However, technically the term ninja is a generic as the modern word terrorist.

Neat. Ninjas are basically terrorists for hire... that's true. But terrorists are terrorists... interesting fact, 1 out of every 50 terrorists is Irish... neat huh?

That is a strange statistic. How does one arrive at that?

I'm not doubting that there are Irish terrorists (IRA hold overs), nor am I saying that more than 1 of 50 or fewer than 1 of 50 are Irish. Rather I'm just curious how they got to that number.

I'm kind of curious how that 1 in 50 statistic was derived also. Was there some annual terrorist meeting that was polled or something? Just the nature of terrorism I would think would make accurate polling or statistical analysis pretty close to impossible. Like Chapel, I understand that there are Irish terrorist, just questioning where this number came from.

Well I wouldn't exactly call them all terrorists but the term is fairly generic. There are three base forms of ninjutsu; Samurai based bujutsu schools that teach ninjutsu as an aspect of higher order (commando methods), the infamious Yamabushi systems which were drawn from Sanjin no Omoto and a peasant form of ninjutsu which is mix of fighting skills from being a conscript (during the fuedual era the bulk of armies were made up of untrained conscripts, lead by professional soldiers (low level samurai), commanded by higher order/status samurai) & basic hunting skills.

You have to realize that allot of criminals, bandits and mercenaries who showed some skill in both combat and evading capture where labled "ninja." Much they same way we label any guerrilla a "terrorist." As for 1 in 50 terrorist being Irish I don't know; not all "terrorists" are bad I mean it turned out ok with that one terrorist George Washington.

Don't get caught up on labels...

How far is Evansville Iniana from Louisville???? Thats where you live, right? There is a Bujinkan dojo in Louisville that teaches ninjutsu. If I'm not mistaken the two cities are fairly close to each other.

Bujinkan Louisville
