Mostly for fun, but I'd really like to start learning stealth stuff too(I know there's more to ninjitsu than being sneaky). The closest ninjitsu school is like 5 hours away from where I live so that's not really something I can do right now. Learning on my own, though not the best way is better than not learning at all. Trial and error is how it was originally done anyways. If any of my friends are willing I'd like to have them try to pick me out of hiding and see if I can sneak up/past them.
I am by no means an expert of any sort but surely a better skill would be stealth wearing normal clothes - after all if you need to be stealthy in a defense situation then you will unlikely be wearing a 'ninja' outfit.

True, but it's still fun to have one.

they give us quatermaster soldiers flame resistant gear that can also be used in winter or other climates for handling petroleum under those conditions
other venues to check out are military surplus stores and hunting stores for clothing for the different enviroments u would want to blend in with for stealth. those are a few of different methods practicioners use when it comes to gear.
an theres different colors to go blend in with the different enviroments. the ones ive got so far is a greenish gray set and a light browinish set

I actually don't know, I heard it from some person who's knowledgeable in the area of statistics... But I may be wrong, I'll find those numbers again and maybe start a thread.

You have to realize that allot of criminals, bandits and mercenaries who showed some skill in both combat and evading capture where labled "ninja." Much they same way we label any guerrilla a "terrorist." As for 1 in 50 terrorist being Irish I don't know; not all "terrorists" are bad I mean it turned out ok with that one terrorist George Washington.
Don't get caught up on labels...
There's a reason there is "terror" in the phrase, I mean they are basically trying to create fear. They want the people to be in complete paranoia. I mean look at our American security system, it's more hyped up than even the Israeli one. Ridiculous almost how well they've beaten us.
Anyway, I'd put Ninjas and Terrorists in two separate boxes, I'd say Ninja was more of a skill set than an actual... like wanting to kill civilians...
Anyway, before this thread gets rough and shut down I'm exiting...

Nice! Hmm, I guess even ninjas need fire protection

Actually there were entire schools devoted to terrorizing an enemy and in the fuedal eras/culture there was no such thing as a civilian only serfs and serfs became conscripts lead by professional soldiers.
Even before the 80s there are reports from service men that the Japanese regarded ninja as terroristic; assassins, spies and so on. That stereotype is what caused the 80s ninja boom repeated the stereo-type.
As for America well we're kinda in a messed up stage in history; those in power who have been pushing a socialist-control agrenda since before I was born are using the "terror hype" to push it through, much like they are using the swine flu hype now. Its all a political shell game.

The whole point of ninja uniform being black is to blend in at night and not be seen.
Any other colors are not really ninja uniform but a costume.
But have fun with different colors..
Um... Ninja wore a lot of different things... Even brightly colored kimono. Yes they did. And this is coming from someone who studies ninja, samurai, ancient Japan, all that. I didn't get this from a movie. No I didn't.
Stop arguing with me.
