Home Country: | Thank you for the information I m from India and I m a native of Kerala..
It is heartening to read the information from a person who does not leave in my country.
In India only a few people respect martial arts.. Most of the time it is ridiculed.. It's funny that many indians don't know a damn thing about kalaripaittu but talk about kung fu and karate...as they are professional
Here if you want to learn a martial art you have very few options..
I finally found a master who has learnt knows his art and has real passion for it |

Well the answer to your question is...
In India people have a very 'Movie-like'perception towards martial arts..
Most of them focus only on the fighting part of martial arts (and in that forget bout the right technique) and not the mental part of it...
In my country cricket rules... Forget about any other sport |

Many searches ended up in India.
When I started my new job a few years ago, some cohorts are from there.
I often freak them out with my limited knowledge of India.
They also freak upon my limited knowledge of Indian history that they hadnt even known.
(This research was done long before "The Almighty Internet" when libraries were the shizzle.)
