The main thing that makes a martial art effective is fast practability, not flashyness.Does this art encorporate flashyness or practicailty?

Lol,yea you do have a point there.When I say flashy I meen
like those really high kicks you see in the movies.A really high kick is just another invitation to get kicked in a very unfair manner.

Lik one of my sword technique blocks, and slashes in single circular movement.Circular blade movement, the footwork is still
linear.Or zig zaggy.

its not for flash, its just causes a greater distance for your leg to travel, and if the other artist is smart, they will only take advantage of that opprotunity.

it intirely depends on your speed.one must repare for the worst, but not be paranoid. One must be confident, but not arrogant.
One must analyze the situation before acting a blind strength.

For example,Neopolean was strong, but he was arrogant,so he eventually lost a waterloo.

I've done a little bit most of it is anti-knife stuff and its all based around using a cross block almost like a shield then using that X to trap knife attacks and parry them I really enjoyed it

No....common knife that people carry.

See, as with many martial arts practcing knofe defense, they tend to use those combat style.....

They should use a variety, like we had.

We used/practiced with cleavers, large, medium and small-butcher, steak knives, pocket knives, etc. As the sizes and styles changed, a technique against one, didn't necessarily work as effectively on another.

Practically warrants to practice with common items.

And they should train against left handed knife fighters.
