I would never ever use any kind of flips in a fight. A lot of people wouldn't do spin kicks or kick above the waste in a fight. Yet alone do flips. Against a rounded out street fighter. You get hammered in a fight Tring to do flips.

But I must say, There look pretty cool!

I wish the ones that look cool are just as effective.Unfotunatly most of them are not if I'm not mistaking. Sometimes the simpler ones are the most effective.Now although I have said that,I will also say that some of the simple ones look really awsome.

as a side not judoka often use flips to get out of throws , so gymnastics would help this is.

Not really. Judo is focusing on disturbing the center of gravity. Gymnastics looks to balance it.

Gyymastics is way off from Judo.

They do not compliment each other, from my opinion, as I had studied both.
