Perhaps we are trained in different versions of karate. I practice, as you know, Shotokan. If you practice a different form of karate, we may simply be misunderstanding each other.

In that case, it seems we were both correct with seemingly contrasting points. I've never trained in Wado Ryu, which would explain our equal misunderstanding. How did you like Shotokan?

I was forced to change residence, I left it to go onto other arts.
