I believe the fighting art came first, and the dance was mixed in to disguise the fact that the slaves were practicing a martial art. Correct me if I'm wrong, please.

Dude, you gotta read my first post which started off the thread. I was trying to show the now widely accepted view on how Capoeira came about.
