Not sure if this is the right place for this thread. Just wanted to let everyone know that my Dojo is having an open day on the 20th of February. This is just to get student numbers up a bit. While the existing students are loyal to the dojo, we need to get a few nubies through the doors. So if anyone on this forum lives in the Sunshine area of Victoria (Australia) and would like to Check out Shukokai Karate please come along to the open day, starts at 9:30am. The address is 54A Station Place, Sunshine.
If anyone has any queries, please feel free to ask.

As far as I am aware, an Open day is a day long event where students are avaliable to discuss classes with prospective new students, and where demonstraition and introduction classes are held at regular intervals.

well my dojo's open day was on this weekend, unfortunately I was unable to be there as I had to work. Apparently though they got a few people through the doors, but not nearly as many as they had hoped for. It was a very warm day down here in Melbourne though, about 36 degrees celsius (about 97 fahrenheit) so people either went to the beach or couldn't be bothered sweating it out in a karate dojo. Anyway we are going to try again in a few months when the weather is a bit cooler, so hopefully we will have better luck then. Plus the UFC (110) has just come to Australia for the first time (this same weekend) so hopefully this will help in raising the popularity of MA.
