Home Country: My instructor's instructor earned Dan ranking under Jhoon Rhee. For a number of years we went independent. Now we are aligned with AIKIA (American Independent Karate Instructor's Association) (Umbrella organization headed by Dr. Jerry Beasley, along with people like Bill Wallace, Joe Lewis, etc.). We are an ITF based style, though not what you would call 'pure' TKD.

Home Country: I took Tae Kwon Do from Korea back in 1978(?) and I don't think any of these organizations being mentioned even existed back then. I think in Korea there must have been just one.
At the time, it took me a year to get red/black junior blackbelt.
