I don't think they are related. They just happen to have a very common last name in Korean.

It's Lee, Yi, Rhee, all spelled differently in English but same in Korean.

First one is the best in terms of story, but the second one had the best action scenes. Third and Fourth were kind of why did you make them?

Probably because people hear the sounds differently... In Korean its Ee(i)
