Why is flatulence funny?

Upon the sound, one can always blame something or someone else.

I think that if you want to do something (such as learn to cook, eat healthier, etc.) you need to talk to your parents seriously and tell them. If they still think you are being silly, well, at the risk of giving bad advice, I would say do it anyway. Now, this does cover everything (ie. drugs) but for something that will allow you to be a more healthy individual and will also make you happier...

What is comes down to is you have to be very serious with your parents and make them understand that it is not just a temporary interest on your part.

Thanks all, i really like the learning to cook thing and it would only be one meal a day. I got a feeling that i'd have to buy the ingredients by myself as there is nothing but boxes in my house.

So any idea's for an easy meal?

Easy meal depends on whats abvaiable and what is your liking.

Veggies are always good, but can cause gas.

semi on topic....i think flatulence is funny because it embarrasses people. So to try and get rid of the embarrassment you make a joke out of it. Thats my guess.

Yes! You can purchase frozen stir fry veggies.. they are usually packaged so you can pop them in the microwave There is usually enough for more than one meal, so this should help save money. I'll pm you with more info

Provided that these products are readily available in his locale.

All he has to do when shops at market, is to read labels.

Frozen stuff tend to be high in sodium and preservatives.

Not true with a bag of frozen veggies. He should still read the label just to make sure but canned veggies are what are usually high in sodium and preservs. But like I said...read the label, all products are different.

The can stuff as well, but I found a frozen bag of peas, have more than a can...I guess its pending the brand.

- Eat special k/get more protein and fibre

It's mostly diet. Strangely enuff, ruffage will increase gas buildup. Things like cabbage, lettuce, etc. Red meats will also produce gas.

This was my largest fear as well when I started. One of our warmup exercises is a cross legged rockers. Basically, sitting with your legs crossed and rolling back, getting ur knees back as far as you can. This causes compression on the gut ... so you can imagine.

I wouldn't eat past 5pm anyways, but I'm old. Your body works to digest the food so the less it's working while you're asleep the better rest you get. If you need to eat something before class, after 5, perhaps an energy bar.

Drink TONS of water .. it aids digestion as well.

I would also keep some anti-gas tablets with you as well. They do work.
