My opinion

Tkd can beat nothing. So in my opinion, Tkd vs. whatever, Tkd Loses. TKD is made for tournaments, Kickboxing is made for knockouts.

Ps. I am aware of the very few quality, old school, TKD schools that use the art for self defense, I am assuming the Tkd you are refuring to is the 95% of the other TKD or majority of the schools out there.

I hadn't seen this video before but interesting, although a bit biased probably.

Again, it's the person not the style that's going to win the fight/sparring.

i usually watched that TV show when i was in Korea. an when you go out to the bars an clubs they always play it on the TVs

its common that Muay Thai or Karate guys sometimes take a beating from TKD people or vice versa.

but elsewhere around the world. alot of people are caught up in the faddish hype that muay thai is an "invincible" striking style

GGGGGGGRRRRRRR!!!!It annoys me so much when people badmouth certain styles. HA! Try taking on my master who is an expert in both korean and chinese martial forms. He will show you how painful TKD can make you feel. Mmmpfff! Bring it on my tai ji and san feng can take you! Or do you think taiji is just for relaxing in the park? *mad laughter going off in the distance*

MT looked like a noob. TKD looked like a vet. No matter the styles represented, in most cases the vet beats the noob. Not impressed by the vid, although I did like the degree of difficulty in the kicks he connected with.

Lets see... if Tae Kwon Do can beat nothing, and nothing can beat nuclear weapons... then Tae Kwon Do can beat nuclear weapons.

SWEET! Wait till I tell all my students that I am actually training them to disarm atomic warheads.

Not so. When I was a student, my friend Dean could best me. Our friend Jules could best him. I could best Jules. If I could best Jules, who could best Dean, why couldn't I best Dean also......

this just proves the tkd practioner was a better fighter. i was alittle dissapointed though with the tkd practioner because he had his hands down the whole time, and if the muay thai practioner was better trained or would stop being pushed back he could have easily hit him in. i practice tkd but i dont think this video really shows a good tkd practioner.
