Even for pro TKD person like me, this video is not the best representation of TKD vs. Muay Thai. I'm sure this TV program was put on to show case TKD and probably not the most fair comparison. Then again, I also feel there are also some bias on the TKD bashing videos as well.

yeah i had to post this up because i see a lot of TKD or Karate or Kung Fu vs MMA or Muay Thai and they always lose. i still think this is pretty good because that guy killed him but idk. Hey i have a question. do you think you can post some vids of yourself doing TKD? i think it would be pretty cool

Well, video camcorders were pretty expensive back when I was doing Tae Kwon Do and unfortunately, there are no footage of that.... And I'm too out of shape to be recording myself now.

That was...odd. The MT fighter kept backing up, which is the worst thing you can do against a TKD fighter. Its also one of the last thing in the world an experienced MT fighter would do. So it seemed...odd.

Well, the whole thing is in slow motion. It is very possible that the MT guy was attempting to let the TKD guy close the distance and then ended up getting kicked in the face... in which case he is probably a pretty bad MTer.
OR PERHAPS MT CANNOT STAND AGAINST THE AWESOMENESS THAT IS THE COMBINED SPEED AND POWER OF A TRUE TAE KWON DO MASTER!!!!1!11one
LOL best video ever. It was weird that the MT guy didn't even have a Muay Thai guard. LOL I guess those flying spin kicks really do work! My bad guys keep doing that stuff lmao

Ok, now back to reality. The MT guy was either a really bad MT guy or just a shill. The TKD guy had some TKD experience, but was obviously told that he should be trying to jumping spinning kicks and the like (I mean, come on... a 540 back kick? Who ever thinks that kick would work?).
I would be much more likely to believe this video if the TKD guy stuck to mostly front, turning, side and back kick and if the MT guy had actually gotten knocked out after the 5th or 6th time he got kicked in the head.

yeah thats what i kept thinking to myself the whole time i watched it. idk at first i started to think that it was staged or and exhibition, but then when i saw the guy actually making contact, then i just started to think that the TKD guy was really good, and the MT guy was horrible. he didnt do any MT blocks or even try to defend himself

Clearly it was a conspiracy.
Sometimes an element of wildness and surprise is very unsettling when you step into a ring. The MT guy obviously thought he was walking into an MT match with a couple of kick variations. Instead, he walked into a really unorthodox exhibition of kicks, was caught by surprise, and never gathered his composure.
