A large part of the reason for the name change, as I understand it was many American instructors were changing the curriculum, adding things, changing forms, taking out certain forms, and G.M. Kee wanted his art preserved as he intended it. To facilitate this desire, he called for all loyal Tang Soo Do dojangs to join up with the Moo Duk Kwan and teach the standardized Soo Bahk Do curriculum.

I train in tang soo do in decatur, al under Jaimee Webster. We are not officially connected to any org, but our forms are the traditional forms. Very good school. Lots of sparring.
