He said after the fight that he was only 70% because of his ACL of something. He was hurt but did not want to postpone the fight, so he just fought hurt.

forest even said he was playing the nice guy and stayed off that knee i didnt see him kick the bandaged leg once. forest took his licks like a champ all the first round. Tito gassed himself out carelessly with his ground and pound game and it wasnt enough to take him out. Tito lost fair and square but still got the decision 27-30 in some judges eyes? makes me think who got paid to score it that way...
Even UFC.com is reporting that Tito won the decision but Griffin won the crowd.

I dunno where they counting Titos take down attempts for points? He did attempt a few times(with no success.. and they were far from threatening) so I guess it all does add up. He did deliver countless solid blows to forest in the first round. Maybe forest wasnt hitting him enough in 2 and 3.
Still kinda lame... However if they count octagon control at all, forest was dominating and controlling the situation for the last 2 rounds. Forest for sure was more damaged at the end of the fight, but had it gone another round or two, or if it was Pride Tito woulda been knocked out. Regardless I think that fight showed Forests' colors as a fighter and he should be proud either way. His physical conditioning is insane.
