I had many of the same thoughts. I really thought that some of the Pride fighters, especially the Heavyweights, would fare better in the UFC. Boy, was I wrong. Heath Herring is the bust of the century, Cro Cop was thrashed, and don't forget Werdum was unable to generate a kernel of offense against Arlovski. I know it was a boring fight, but Andrei fought a smart fight against a grappler the quality of Werdum.

I'm still waiting to see how Nogueira does but based on the performance of the other Pride transplants, I might have to re-evaluate my opinion of Fedor as the best MMA fighter on the planet! Not until I see Fedor against the best of the UFC will I be able to consider him as invincible as I once thought.

I thought those were some great fights. Arlovski's fight was the least entertaining.

Can't beleive Gonzaga's knock out. That was unreal. I'm finding it hard to choose favorites as it's all over the place.

Bisbing fought well but also almost lost it. I sure liked not having to pay for those fights. It would be nice if they could get to a point where they are all on regular TV.

One bad thing about it being free on SpikeTV was all the commercials that you had to sit through. On PPV, zero commercials.

Wyatt will become famous soon enough

RE

I agree, the commercials were awful! They could have fit in another fight or two with all of that wasted time had it been an actual PPV here.

Bisping was really impressive I thought, eventhough he almost got caught and lost it. His ground and pound was relentless!

All I can say is Gonzaga is the MAN! He was totally prepared for Cro Cop and beat him with his own high kick to the head. INCREDIBLE! Now that was totally worth waiting for through all the commercials.

Spike reaired it last night so I got to see the knockout again. Give's me shivers! Kindof embarrasing for Cro Crop really. He was blocking a low kick like his eyes were shut and took it hard across the head. I'll be very interested to see how Couture fairs!
