Melvin takes Gabe down but escapes. Melvin succees in take down, starts to punch and elbows. Stand up again. Melvin lands a good punch but Gabe recovers. Melvin on top, landing elbows and punches. Both fighters standing. Melvin goes for the kick but Gabe almost takes him down. Tangled up. Melvin on topo, spins, tangled up against the fence. Gabe takes down, and has the mount, Melvin gave him the back, Gabe going for the rear naked choke. The bell saves him.
Swick threw a kick. Trading some punches. David is more conservative. Tangled up. Both fighters tring to knee. Ref makes them start over. Swick threw some wild punches. David also threw some punches. Swick has the bloody nose. Swick's back kicked landed. David thew couple punches and a kick. Swick takes David down and in half guard. Swick has David's back but David escapes. David threw a back kick but misses. The round ends.
David lcame out more aggressively but crowd is booing at no major action from both fighters. Swick lands another back kick. David misses his kick. David is landing some kicks to the legs. The crowd's booing is getting louder. Not much action this round. Swick misses back kick. Swick goes for the flying knee but David catches him and both fighters tangled up. Swick takes David down, passing half guard, starts to land some elbows. David's cut above the left eye. Not much action, crowd is booing again. The round ends.
David comes out kicking, knowing he's behind 2 rounds. David is chasing Swick. David kicks, misses, Swick takes him down again, in half guard. David trying to get out, but gives up the back. Swick has the hook, but David escapes. David throws wild punch, tangled up. David got an elbow. David is throwing and landing some punches and elbows. With 2:20 left, Swick looks to coast but David is going for it. David got the take down, throwing elbows, both fighters standing now. David throwing punches and elbows, Swick looks tired. Ref stands both fighters up. 50 seconds left. David chasing, Swick retreating. David went for wild kick, Swick takes him down. The round ends.
Round 1.
Both trade punches. BJ landed some good ones. Matt went for the takedown but BJ defended really well and won the First Round.
Round 2.
Matt went for the take down and eventually suceeds. Started to work his ground and pound. BJ somehow how escapes and had Matt's back. Almost had the arm bar but the bell saves Matt. BJ won the Second Round as well.
Round 3.
BJ comes out completely flat. He was so out of shape, hands were down. Matt landed few punches, then took BJ down. BJ had no defense. Matt trapped both of BJ's arms and started to pound his face. BJ could not defend himself and the referee had to stop the fight.
Matt Locked BJ in a top mounted crucifix...He pinned his left arm with his legs and right arm with his forearm and delivered punches to penns head...Ref stepped in about the 15 th un answered blow..i have it Tivoed so i can get a full count if anyone wants...BJ was out of gas in the third round and Huges was tagging him repeatedly...Conditioning won this fight...
