Round 3
Penn’s face is showing damage in round three. St. Pierre peppers the nose of Penn with jabs and a right hand. Penn’s nose is bleeding from the beating. St. Pierre gets an easy takedown and moves to half guard. He lazily punches the head with both hands until Penn is able to get back to full guard. St. Pierre blasts Penn with right-handed hammerfists. Penn scrambles to his feet and works for a single leg of his own. St. Pierre stuffs the attempt and pulls Penn’s legs out from under him with a double. A left elbow and punch connect with the head of Penn from guard. St. Pierre is making it look easy against the lightweight champion.
Round 4
Penn checks a low kick and takes a stiff jab. St. Pierre ducks under a slow jab and gets an easy double leg. St. Pierre passes Penn’s guard like the Hawaiian is a white belt. St. Pierre is putting on a display of dominance never seen from the Canadian fighter. St. Pierre knees the body from side control and punches the head of Penn with his left hand. St. Pierre lands a heavy elbow while trying to mount. St. Pierre continues to control Penn as he takes the mount for a brief second. Penn gets to guard but it only lasts seconds. St. Pierre advances to side control and goes back to work on the head of his opponent. St. Pierre tees off with elbows and punches while Penn covers. Referee Herb Dean watches closely, but he lets Penn ride out the round.
Never have I seen Penn get dominated in a fight like St. Pierre just did to him. Incredible display of athleticism and skill.
Machida really impressed me with his win tonight as well. That guy is an awesome counter fighter. It was really weird to see someone fighting from a karate back stance in an MMA match. Looks like someone has finally found a way to use a common full contact karate strategy in the UFC.
I think, if he doesn't get injured, we are going to see some great things from Jones. His win over Bonner was impressive. Nice spinning elbow and spin backkicks. And the kid is only 21 years old.

Kim got robbed! Hope the GSP/BJ fight doen't go split decision again. Definate controvery if it does, especially with tonight's sting of split decisions.
Kim clearly won the first round but the 2nd and 3rd round was a bit hard to call. If the fight goes to the judge, chances are hometown fan favorite is going to get the edge.

Machida is just getting better and better and more exciting to watch than his earlier fights. Very impressive win over another tough undefeated fighter.

Wow! Looks like the guys with TMA foundations really did a bang up job tonight... literally I like Penn, but I was cheering for GSP before the match even began! I enjoyed Machida, he was alot of fun to watch and btw..... Kim was straight robbed!!
All in all I enjoyed it and over all it was one of the better UFC's, IMO! (except for the Kim fight)
The yahoo sports was great, it hung up twice, but after we figured out it was because of lack of activity to the laptop... it never happened again! So we didn't miss much.. and we have archives until Monday!!

Machida was really good this time around, wasn't anything like his previous fights i've seen. He picked up the pace, and really got in the hits for all of the openings. His jab-straight combo was amazingly timed, and that knockout punch was SWEET. Man, that trip was good, too.
The slow-mo groin shot was hilarious, though. I saw Thiago jump a little.
I'm really glad GSP won, though i would've hoped Penn stood more of a chance. Sounds like he really got one hell of a beating there.
Conclusion: I'm a really happy boy.

It's good enough. Was real close to the fight, but watching the videos were alot more exciting.
To say the truth, Machida and Thiago's fight was more interesting than GSP's.
GSP's fight was like watching a bulldozer run over a wild boar.

I watched this because of Karo and Machida, so I'm pretty happy It was good to see Machida finishing a fight, and Karo's match was indeed pretty close but this win will help him a lot mentally, I think.
As for the main event, BJ was disappointing to me, GSP dominated him in every aspect.
No kidding...B.J.'s not a bad guy, but he just talks too much. Hope he'll be humbler about it now.
On a side note, GSP really didn't bother to go all out, i think. After he started dominating B.J., he just began to slack a little.
Machida + Knock-out-punch = Pwnage.
